Mmm...Monkey, Mmm...Monkey

Super Monkey Ball 2 screens make us feel strange.

Super Monkey Ball, without question of the greatest gaming experiences ever created, has a sequel in the works.

Under the watchful eye of Toshihiro Nagoshi, a man rapidly achieving the level of kudos usually reserved for Naka, Suzuki and Miyamoto, Amusement Vision is poised to unleash yet another masterwork upon us. And we really cannot wait.

This is the most comprehensive set of screens released to date from Super Monkey Ball 2, showing snaps taken from Monkey Golf, Main Game, Monkey Billiards, Monkey Boat Race and more.

In all seriousness, this has to be our most anticipated game in the works at the moment. Although we appreciate that this is a true golden era for videogames, what with Sega being a platform agnostic publisher and developer, releasing games across three new platforms, this is the one for us.

We can also reveal that you will get to buy your very own copy on Super Monkey Ball 2 when it gets its European release at Easter 2003. We know it’s a bit of a long wait, but it’ll worth it. We were lucky enough to play Super Monkey Ball 2 with its creator at this year’s E3 and we are happy to report that it is as resplendent a game you could ever wish for.
