There have been rumours floating around for ages now that a version of Virtua Fighter 4 will be released for Microsoft’s Xbox console. And quite frankly, it’s starting to annoy us.
According to reports generated by the tireless games industry rumour mill, Sega is planning to release Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, carrying the name Virtua Fighter 4.1 for Xbox.
It is well known that Sega itself dubbed the recently unveiled Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution as 4.1. Indeed, Sega’s arcade site still carries the name to this day.
As ever, no one at Microsoft was willing to make a comment, giving us the standard “we never speculate on rumour,” spiel. Where’s a drunken J Allard when you need him?
Unfortunately, no-one at Infogrames or Sega Europe was available to comment in time for deadline today but we’ll get something for tomorrow.
