Naomi 3 arcade hardware crops up at Sega
According to Xengamers, Sega is already thinking about what to do with the next incarnation of its Naomi series of arcade systems.

Sega director Tetsu Kayama said that although the firm is looking to greatly expand the role of its current flame, the Naomi 2, Sega will continue to research and develop future gaming platforms.

The high-powered backwards compatible (and very expensive) Naomi 2 is currently in use in the arcades, pleasing gamers by hosting Virtua Fighter 4, a game widely believed to be the greatest 3D fighter of all time.

Incidentally, we have an exclusive hands-on with Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, the latest spawn of Yu Suzuki’s digital scissors/stone/paper inspired beat-em-up, this Thursday. We’ll bring you a full update on Friday.

Cool, huh?
