Square has released the first screenshots of the PC version of its highly scrutinised MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI.
There are only four shots at present, and they do little to distinguish themselves from its PlayStation 2 counterpart, but in-game footage is likely to be far more promising. The game will support the maximum resolution most graphics cards can offer and come complete with border-free environments.
If all goes to plan, Square will release the Japanese version in October. No information is known about when the game will hit American and European shores, but sometime next year is likely.
We'll keep you posted.
