The connection between Seamus Blackley and Sega has been clarified by the company, ending speculation that CEG (Capital Entertainment Group) was to launch a new Sega game studio.
As it turns out, Blackley’s main business plan is to set up an agency fashioned after the Hollywood first-refusal commissioning system. This entails CEG giving Sega, arguably the best games maker in the world, first refusal on two games the company has financed.
Sega will agree to publish, distribute and market the games, whilst fully acquiring the intellectual property rights for them.
We’ll bring you more as it emerges.
