Dan Roarty is a lead character artist at Tomb Raider developers Crystal Dynamics. He's created some scarily realistic images...The one you can see illustrating this story is, says Dan, "based off of my wife Nicole. Software used was Maya, Mudbox for sculpting and texturing and Shave and Haircut for hair (rendered in Mental Ray)."
There are more images over on Dan's site. Now, all we need to do is create realistic movement, decent plots, good scripts and maybe even no gunplay and we'll have movies. Oh. Yup, remember, it's all about the gameplay folks.
