According to a headline on retailer ShopTo's site, "PS4 games to sell for £54.99 and £59.99 SRP".
The message is a little mixed, as the first line of the story reads, "It's been revealed that the suggested retail price of PlayStation published games for PS4 is £59.99 and £54.99." While it's not entirely clear what 'PlayStation published' means, let's assume it's 'Sony-published'. So, not all PS4 games, then - just the Sony ones.
The site also doesn't say who revealed this, though given that this post is on ShopTo.net you'd have to assume this has come from the company's retail arm. The site lists the following game prices:
Knack - SRP £54.99
DriveClub SRP £59.99
Killzone - SRP £59.99
To put this in perspective, SRPs (or RRP, if you prefer) are, as the word 'suggested' tells us, not strict instructions. In fact, some publishers don't even provide SRPs to retailers - they just set a trade price and assume retailers will mark games up by around a third. We've had a quick hunt around and it doesn't look like you'll have to pay more than £49.99 for any of the titles listed.
Also, these are all AAA launch titles. Somewhere down the line we'll start getting smaller releases with smaller prices. And, of course, third-party publishers are free to set whatever SRP they like for their titles.
