You would have thought that a car game with guns on the PC with backing from David Jaffe and called MotorGun would probably be a no-brainer to get crowd funded. You'd be wrong.It seems like only earlier this month that we reported on the Kichstarter for
MotorGun because it was. Now we have to report its death as follows:
The team behind the game wanted to raise $650,000 in 30 days when they launched on July 16th. As of today, with five days to go, $63,120 had been raised from 766 backers. The team posted a sad final update:
"Kickstarter is a harsh mistress. Lots of projects are pitched to the community and sometimes they resonate and sometimes they don’t. In this case, what we were pitching wasn’t exactly what you guys wanted. So, as a result we’re making the tough decision to not drag it out, and we’re going to cancel the campaign and start working to reformulate it."
