Over at San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom has confirmed the impending release of a new Strider game, developed by Double Helix (Killer Instinct). The announcement confirms a rumour from back in March that the arcade classic was returning. The game will be an action-heavy platformer, starring ninja Strider Hiryu in a futuristic cityscape. Despite the fact the game's a sidescroller, Capcom is promising a strong explorative component, stating in its announcement that, "Players freely explore the city and beyond, gaining new abilities and items which in turn open access to a truly massive and expansive interconnected game world."
Strider will be released digitally on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC some time in early 2014.
Below are no less than two trailers for the game - a trim announcement trailer and a big beefy gameplay trailer.
