DICE has quite politely taken the time to confirm what rumoured have heavily indicated for some time - a follow-up to Mirror's Edge is in development.
The studio stopped short of calling the project Mirror's Edge 2, but did present a teaser trailer that whet the appetite of everyone in LA and beyond. The game is described as an 'origins' story for protagonist Faith, suggesting that this will be a prequel rather than a sequel.
It's fair to say that the trailer seemed to have the same brilliant aesthetic as its predecessor. The game is being developed on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. No date was given for the game's release, opting to say instead, "Coming... when it's ready." That's cute.
