Gearbox Breaks Own Embargo With Borderlands DLC Photo

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep a D&D twist.

Gearbox has had to formally announce the existence of the fourth Borderlands 2 DLC expansion two weeks ahead of schedule, after studio writer Anthony Burch tweeted a photo of VP Steve Gibson snoozing at a press event. Unwittingly, the photo contained a poster revealing the name of DLC4, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep.

SPOnG recognises the sofa and the backdrop because we were actually at that same event yesterday, checking out the add-on for ourselves. The name of the DLC, and basic details about the content, was embargoed until May 20th. But, in the light of its own photo leak (which has, naturally, since been removed), Gearbox has revealed some information about the expansion ahead of time.

The studio has confirmed that Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 25. It will be free for Season Pass holders, or $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points) to everyone else. It focuses on a fantasy game called Bunkers & Badasses, a twist on tabletop classic Dungeons & Dragons, with Tiny Tina as the dungeon master. Brick, Mordecai and Lilith all participate, with gameplay changing on the fly as Tiny Tina narrates.

Sounds pretty awesome, right? More details are sure to come soon, so stay tuned!

UPDATE: We've just been sent a logo for the new DLC pack, which we've included in this story and on the Borderlands 2 Game Page.
