Kojima: ‘Raiden inclusion a mistake’
At an otherwise uneventful press conference, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima stated that he was aware that Raiden, the main playable character in Metal Gear Solid 2: The Sons of Liberty, is somewhat unpopular.

He said, “We get a lot of fan mail into the office and it’s always good to get feedback. The only problem is that too much of it just says, ‘Raiden Sucks!’”

Kojima was typically secretive about his future work, outlining at the outset of the conference that attendees were not to ask him about the future of the series. “Just don’t ask me what’s next,” he said.

Kojima also refused to make any comment on the content of the heavily-rumoured Metal Gear X for Xbox. He did however say that he saw “…no reason for MGS not to appear other next-generation machines.”

Metal Gear Solid 2: The Sons of Liberty gets a UK release next Friday.
