Exploited: Ubisoft's Uplay Launcher Leads to Illegal Downloads
In the bad old days of shops and buying things from them, being able to nick games for free either meant holding up a van or walking into Games House on Booth Street with a suspiciously large overcoat. Nowadays, all you've got to do is be clever and exploit in Existing Vulnerability in Ubisoft's Uplay Launcher, like some Russians have apparently done.

That's right, digital services such as uPlay are - unlike GameStation or Hanks Gamez - vulnerable to attack from thousands of miles away. Here's how...

GamerRanx states that the Russians hackers worked out how to "download free games from Ubisoft's servers, exploiting an existing vulnerability in Ubisoft's uPlay launcher. The launcher is available with most of the publisher's titles, and also carries games from EA and Square Enix."

The report claims that, "The hack has allowed users to download advance copies of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon–a game which has yet to be officially released. Weighing in at 3051mb, the game is complete in a fully playable state and is only available through use of the hack."

We won't go into detail because, to be honest, no one really knows that details nor wether the whole thing is an elaborate piece of marketing to make Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon sound interesting. So, more when we hear it.
