Grand Theft Auto V Scammers Targeted by Take-Two
Grand Theft Auto V might be several months away yet, but it seems that the spirit of Liberty City has already taken hold. A couple of scams offering 'beta keys' to the game have hit the internet - and it's a trend that Take-Two Interactive is keen to stamp out.

Last month, the company put the kibosh on two GTA V scammers - getgtavbeta.com and betagtav.com - and it now has its sights set on two more targets.

The sites in question, gta5betacode.com and grandtheftauto5beta.com, claim to allow gamers early access to the game by asking them to spread the scam across social media portals. According to CVG, the former even asks the user to download files to their computer in order to do so. Dodgy.

Take-Two has filed complaints with the World Intellectual Property Organization, which will result in the takedown of the offending sites if the company wins its claim. The grandtheftauto5beta.com website is, at this time of writing, offline however - probably taking cover from the inevitable legal fallout.
