Activision is getting serious with this eSports lark. The publisher is hosting the European Finals of a global Call of Duty Championship this weekend in Cologne, where pro gamers from the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Spain, France and Netherlands and Sweden will fight for a spot in the world finals in Los Angeles.The final itself will be taking place April 5th - 7th in Hollywood, where 32 teams will play for a cool $1 million prize pot. Black Ops II, as well. Madness. Microsoft and the European Sports League are assisting in the sponsorship and hosting of the global event.
If you can't get to Cologne but fancy giving it a watch, the European Finals will be streamed live through Twitch TV via the cod.esl.eu channel from 12.30pm on Saturday 16th March.
