E3 2012
Sci-fi action game Watch Dogs is heading for a release on Wii U, if a number of US retailer listings are anything to go by.
Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop have all recently added Nintendo's new console as a target platform for the game, which was announced at E3 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Watch Dogs is also rumoured to be in development for next-generation consoles, but so far Ubisoft hasn't confirmed or denied any such thing.
The Wii U support will be welcomed by early adopters of the console, which has not had a very exciting release window following its launch in late November. Nintendo has promised that more games are on the way from March, but third party publishers are already wary of the platform's first market impressions.
Ubisoft has its own battle to fight against Wii U fans too, as it faces anger following a decision to delay the release of former console exclusive Rayman Legends, in favour of multi-platform support.
