Jenova Chen: PlayStation Platform too Small for Huge Financial Success
"I wouldn't say that the development of Journey was a successful example of game development..."

Xinghan 'Jenova' Chen is an ace developer, head of TGC, and creator of one of our games of the decade, Journey. He's looking forward to his next game though.
The new game can't come quick enough in fact given that, "I wouldn't say that the development of Journey was a successful example of game development. We bankrupted the company."
In terms of the new, "I think to have a financial success, that is going to change everyone, it has to be much bigger than a game on the Playstation platform," must come as a bit of a blow to Sony given the critical love that Chen and his team have bought the platform.
But Chen may be over being simply a critics' darling, "My resolution is to create a big financial success," he points out with no equivocation.
According to Polygon, "that means creating a game that can be played on any platform. That's why he sought out venture capital funding, and received it, and that's why the game the team is working on now won't be exclusive to any one system."
