Capcom Arcade Cabinet for PSN and XBLA Unveiled: Black Tiger is Free
It was acceptable in the 80s.
Capcom fancies a trip down memory lane for its 30th Anniversary. So the publisher has announced Capcom Arcade Cabinet, a digitally distributed compilation of classic coin-op titles, remastered in high definition.
The collection spans Capcom's 1984-1988 heyday, with separate game packs releasing every week from launch until mid-April. These include classics such as Ghosts 'n Goblins, Side Arms, 1942, SonSon, The Speed Rumbler and Section Z.
On top of HD graphics, the games will all feature virtual Dip Switch functionality, online and co-op multiplayer, online leaderboards, achievements/trophies, unlockable bonuses and a Casual mode for beginners.
A total of fifteen games will be made available, and players can choose to buy them individually or in packs (with the exception of the first game pack for XBLA users, which can only be bought as a bundle). Capcom also revealed that the first game, Black Tiger, will be made available for free.
The schedule of games on offer - including prices and individual title releases - are below. The company has said that two bonus games will be offered to those who are dedicated enough to buy all 15 games in the compilation - and that an 'all-in-one' pack will launch on PSN and XBLA on May 22nd for a reduced price of £23.99 (or 2000MSP).
