Minecraft Players Recreate A Game of Thrones' King's Landing
So the official Game of Thrones RPG wasn't all that fantastic. When you want something done, do it yourself - so a bunch of hardcore fans are picking up the slack using the power of Minecraft. The progress so far? A complete recreation of Westeros' main city, King's Landing. And my God, it's amazing.

Look at it. Let it sink in. This sub-project - part of a bigger plan to recreate the entirety of Westeros in Minecraft - took 100 people four months to accomplish. There are some 3000 buildings, all of them featuring interior decoration.

King's Landing is the latest area to be completed. Winterfell, Dragonstone, Casterly Rock, Lannisport, The Eyrie, Pyke, Harrenhall, The Dreadfort and Sunspear Water Gardens have already been replicated in block form, as well as the Wall and Castle Black.

The ultimate goal of this super-project, titled WesterosCraft: A Game of Blocks, is to create "a giant, open world RPG with quests and NPCs" using mod tools. Sounds bloody exciting! Take a look at a video of the work in progress below.
