GAME has announced that it will be staging a number of "lock-ins" for some of Electronic Arts' upcoming titles. Don't worry, it's nothing sinister - 'lock-in' is just GAME's weird term for 'community preview events'. Its really, really weird term.
But what's weird is also wonderful, because these monthly after-hours events will allow gamers to get early play time on some of EA's latest games. And who doesn't want to play Dead Space 3 before it officially hit store shelves?
You'll be fed too! Jesus! "Gamers will have the chance to play off against each other on unreleased titles and be the envy of their friends. It won't stop at gaming - there will be a variety of snacks and drinks laid on to add to the experience," reads the proud GAME press release.
Marketing Director Anna-Marie Mason added, "We are extremely excited about partnering with EA to offer customers an exclusive sneak peek at their latest titles at the upcoming lock-ins. They're going to be really fun events where the gaming community can get together to test out the latest games and swap notes with a drink in hand and snacks on tap - what more could you want?!"
If you fancy popping over to one of these shindigs, you'll need to register your interest by going to the appropriate store and putting your name down or send a tweet to the stores in question. The first event takes place this weekend, at various locations. Take a look below for the participating GAME stores.
