Assassin's Creed III DLC Erasing Game Saves - Ubisoft Responds
Entire game progresses lost...
You did what to my saved game!!!!?
The latest DLC for Assassin's Creed III is deleting game progress with some users reporting entire game progresses being lost.
The problem came to light when one irate user told Ubisoft: "The DLC has erased my progress. I get the Latest DLC from within the AC3 game and now:"
"I have 0$ money
I have to start over in the bunker and do the animus training (right now checking to se what is going on with settings, etc.)
The mission I am on is listed as Opera - Main missions are now at 0%
All side missions at 100%
My % Complete went from 85% to 45%
Per menu, I have to make all the courier deliveries again
I still have my stats, and all the side stuff is complete in the DNA, but the main missions are ALL INCOMPLETE. The game thinks I am starting over?
I still have amimus hacks, and I am in the cloud
"Is Ubi trolling me? This is my first AC game, so I am not sure how to take this.
MY PROGRESS HAS BEEN ERASED BY THE DLC FOR WHICH I PRE-PAID (SEASON PASS)!"
Fortunately Ubisoft has taken the time (not much of it thankfully) to research and respond with:
"Just a quick heads up, we're able to reproduce this issue at the studio and are working on a fix/workaround.
"From what we can tell, this problem seems to be rare and should generally only affect a very small number of players. That said, we're taking the speedy and complete resolution of this very seriously.
"AVOIDING THIS BUG: Do not load your saved AC3 game while the DLC is downloading in the background. This appears to be the key trigger for this bug. You can do anything else you want to do, just don't load up your saved game and play it while the DLC is downloading."
