Could a new Assassin's Creed game be released next year? It certainly wouldn't surprise us - we've all become accustomed to annual editions of the history-hopping adventure series by now. If a reported Ubisoft survey is any indication, that trend could be set to continue.
The questionnaire, seen by the apty-named Gaming Liberty (geddit? Because revolution? Sigh), asks users if they would like to see Native-American Connor and modern-day protagonist Desmond return in a sequel, with the same American Revolution setting. It was also asked if people would buy such a sequel if released in a year's time.
Other questions in the survey referred to a co-op mode, as well as Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Whether Ubisoft is taking inspiration from Sony's PS3 exclusive in terms of story or gameplay remains to be seen. Would you be happy if either was the case, readers?
Ubisoft is keeping mum on the situation, refusing to "comment on rumour or speculation" as you'd expect. Bear in mind, though, that the last two Assassin's Creed games contained elements that were suggested in pre-release surveys too...
