Sega of Japan has announced that it will be consolidating its arcade subsidiaries this year into one main operation. At present, Sega has its arcade business split between five subsidiaries, operating out of Osaka, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Nagoya.
As of April 1, one company, Sega Amusements, will remain, handling all coin-operated gaming, with the exclusion of Sega’s burgeoning gambling machine business.
