The UK video game charts are with us once again after another week of mad action in the bricks'n'mortar shops that report their sales figures to Gfk Chart-Track, which then compiles them and lets us know that one of EA's games IPs has knocked another on of EA's games ips off the top spot!

Yes indeed brothers and sisters of the gaming world! The distinctly OKish FPS Medal of Honor: Warfighter has forced the soccer title, FIFA 13 (yes, 13 for the 2012/13 season not purely the number of times FIFA games have been remade (or not in one case) to relinquish the 'coveted' number 1 spot.

In related info, Chart-Track reports:

"FIFA 13 only drops to No2 (-17%) and the title remains comfortably ahead of all other FIFA titles in terms of sales units over the opening 5 weeks, some 20% ahead of FIFA 12, the previous best-seller. Microsoft's Forza Horizon (Playground Games/Turn 10 Studios) can be considered the 5th instalment in the long-running Forza Motorsport Xbox series and debuts here at No3.

"Activision Blizzard's Skylanders Giants (-43%) drops two places to No4, Bethesda's Dishonored (-48%) drops 2 to No5 and Ubisoft's Just Dance 4 is also down 2 to No6 (+1%). After that we have the remaining 2 big new releases of week 43, with Nintendo's 3DS Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask debuting at No8 and Mind Candy's DS/3DS Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park right behind at No9."

By the way, we do mean "pre-Xmas" yes. Basically, Xmas has kicked off if you're in retail already. With Blops II the last big release of the year coming in November, this is basically the start of pre-Xmas. Any argument with that? In the comments below or to the Forum with you!
