Forza Horizon is almost here, and to celebrate Microsoft will be hosting a number of events to get everyone into the car festival spirit. The plans include a four-day road trip, prizes to see top music acts and an appearance at the Top Gear Live show in Birmingham.

The four day road trip, called Escape The Grid, will see a selection of supercars competing in a number of challenges as the convoy darts from France to the UK. Six of the vehicles used in the contest, which starts at the Paris Forza Horizon Gymkhana competition on October 23rd, will also be showcased in a special display at the Top Gear Live expo in Birmingham on October 26th.

The winning car will be announced at the Top Gear Live event too, and Microsoft will be hosting an Xbox booth that will allow attendees to play Forza Horizon to their heart's content.

And, because the game is all about the marriage of car racing and music festivals, there will be a number of competitions (via billboards based in Manchester, London, Newcastle and Birmingham) where fans can win music downloads and tickets to an exclusive gig in London's Fabric nightclub. You'll get to see DJ Fresh and Ms. Dynamite.

Forza Horizon launches on October 26.
