Hooray! It seems that the legal tussle between Activision and pop-rock band No Doubt has finally come to an end. The music group, which alleged that the games publisher turned them into a "virtual karaoke circus act" in Band Hero, has settled just days before it complaint was due to go to trial.According to the
Associated Press, No Doubt settled the lawsuit on Monday, but no further details were disclosed. Representatives from both parties declined to comment, but no doubt (haw haw) we'll see an statement released soon.
Activision has been
fighting No Doubt over the use of the band's likeness in its music rhythm game since 2009, when it was discovered that Gwen Stefani and co could be used as an avatar to perform other artists' songs.
The publisher has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
