Sega Corp has announced that it is completely withdrawing from its role as a provider of Internet services for both personal computers and Dreamcast game networking.
SegaNet of Japan, the only part of Sega’s online business to be fully intact, will now be sold to Isao Corp, following the dispersal of Sega’s online assets in both the US and Europe.
"We have decided to leave the management of Isao to CSK Corp and Isao itself. Isao will no longer be our consolidated company next business year,” said Sega CEO Tetsu Kayama.
