gamescom 2012: Might & Magic Goes Browser, Free-to-Play
Ubisoft has announced that it is re-imagining its Might & Magic fantasy franchise with three new games that embrace online browser, cross-platform and free-to-play.

Top of the list is Might & Magic: Heroes Online, a browser RTS developed by Blue Byte "inspired by Anno". Blue Byte seems to be taking a leaf out of its own book, having previously developed The Settlers Online for computer browsers. Expect to be able to manage your warriors and armies using the same time-based credits system.

Might & Magic: Raiders is an isometric MMO that allows players to build their own hero and batter the hell out of a legion of monsters and demons. This is also free-to-play and will allow for four-player co-op. It's being developed by Ubisoft Shanghai.

Finally, Might & Magic: Duel of Champions takes the Heroes universe and condenses it into online card collecting form. You can play this online, and engage in heated tactical battles in a free-to-play fashion. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, this game will be released for the iPad as well as PC - with cross-compatible online play to be made available between the two platforms.
