Square Enix and the Ten Year Dragon Quest X Support
Square Enix aims to keep supporting its newly-released MMO, Dragon Quest X Online, for a long time to come. Much longer than the Wii's remaining lifespan, in fact - the company plans to release major revisions for the RPG every ten weeks for the next ten years.

The game was released in Japan on August 2, but already the publisher has made a firm commitment to satisfying its player base long after the Nintendo Wii has been taken off store shelves. It's not known what these "major revisions" every ten weeks will entail, but safe bets are on quest additions and new items.

Although it may seem strange to declare such support for an MMO so late into a console's life, Square Enix has also revealed that it plans to release a Wii U follow-up, which might allow the game to maintain a high profile into the next generation. No news on a Western release, and at this point we might not hear of one until Square Enix decides to launch its Wii U successor.
