SEGA steps up to accept the Gold and Bronze medals of this week's UK Video Game Chart, as two of its Olympic-themed games snatches #1 and #3 on the Top 10. That would be London 2012: The Official Video Game and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, respectively.
The official game climbs the chart from last week's #2 position, knocking previous top-spot owner LEGO Batman 2 down a place. Mario & Sonic sees the biggest jump, leaping from last week's position at #8. But, Batman is still getting some attention thanks to the brilliance of The Dark Knight Rises in cinemas - Batman: Arkham Asylum flies up a couple of places to reach #5 this week.
Four new 3DS titles launched this past week, but both Freakyforms and New Art Academy had the balls to release on Saturday 28th July, along with the Nintendo 3DS XL. So naturally, it doesn't quite make the chart this week. What did was Pokemon Conquest on Nintendo DS, which debuts at #17.
