Frank Gibeau, President of EA Labels at Electronic Arts has been offering up his ideas about the EA in a prospectus for a cloud gaming conference. He's let slip what maybe a pre-Xmas surprise for consoles. It may also, of course, we some dodgy transcription - although the Wii U is the most likely. Mr Gibeau also points that you won't be seeing any more single-player 'experiences' (games to you and us) from EA again.
"For all the investments we’ve made in mobile and social, we never abandoned consoles. We are working closely with the console manufacturers and we are VERY excited about the Gen4 consoles that will be launched in the months and years ahead," he states.
As for single-player titles, "We are very proud of the way EA evolved with consumers. I have not green lit one game to be developed as a single player experience. Today, all of our games include online applications and digital services that make them live 24/7/365."
