Sony Might Be Not Go Major European Video Games Show
Major blow to gamescom if Sony decides not to go.
Bad news for gamescom (they want us to write it like that by the way) or is Sony using the public arena to try and beat down the price of attending the biggest European video games convention this year?
The thing is that Sony has not yet decided whether to attend gamescom in Cologne from the 15th to the 19th of August this year.
In fact, Christoph Holowaty, SCE's German communications director Guido Alt said, "We have to judge if it makes sense to exhibit at gamescom every year.
"We are still negotiating with Koelnmesse. What I can say is that we did not sign a contract so far."
Now, this means one of two things:
a) Sony is without funds.
b) Sony is bargaining hard.
