Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Officially Unveiled
Gabriel faces off against a familiar face...
Konami officially lifted the lid on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 at its pre-E3 showcase last night, and after watching the announcement trailer we can just hear the roar of fangasms from around the world. Konami and Mercury Steam also took the opportunity to confirm that this would be the conclusion of the Lords of Shadow saga.
The trailer itself sees the protagonist from the last game, Gabriel Belmont, wreaking havoc on a human army as they try in vain to slay the hero-turned-Dracula. Despite his particularly badass actions, he is said to be "yearning for release from his immortal bonds". Yep, munching on humans will certainly help a vampire out in that regard.
It's suggested (on the official website, no less) that Dracmont (Gabrula?) will have to face off with a number of other members of the Belmont clan. But what will get fans salivating is the appearance of a long-haired adversary at the end of the announcement trailer, brandishing a rather large sword. Oh my God, could it be..?
