CDProjekt RED Announces New RPG, Cyberpunk
Development led by The Witcher series veterans.
Polish developer CDProjekt RED had lots to discuss in its live video conference last night - chief of these being the announcement of a brand new "triple A" science fiction RPG called Cyberpunk.
Based on Mike Pondsmith's pen-and-paper role playing system of the same name, Cyberpunk will be just as "richly detailed" and "non-linear" as the studio's recent PC and Xbox 360 smash hit, The Witcher 2. Development veterans behind The Witcher are apparently heading the work on this title, which is being worked on by a second team at CDProjekt RED.
The game will throw in some customisation options to the mix, with players able to select different character classes and augmenting their powers using various cybernetic implants and high tech weapons. No platforms have been announced for Cyberpunk so far, but it's sounding like a treat already.
