Platforming fans, rejoice! Lombax-and-robot combo Ratchet & Clank are returning for another space-faring adventure. Insomniac formally announced "fun-sized" episode, Ratchet & Clank: QForce on the PlayStation Blog as part of the series' 10th Anniversary celebrations."We’ve also heard a lot of community requests to develop a new
Ratchet & Clank game, one that returns to the classic third-person
Ratchet & Clank camera," wrote Insomniac CEO Ted Price. "We listened to your requests and this Autumn Insomniac will release our own new
Ratchet & Clank game as part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration."
Not many details were revealed about the new title, which depressingly is given the much more awesome innuendo-fuelled name of
Full Frontal Assault in the US, but no doubt it will be highlighted as part of Sony's E3 showcase next week.
What we do know, is that it will be a PlayStation Network title as well as a disc-based release, meaning that it will be similar to that of
Quest for Booty rather than a full-fledged
R&C title. But, Insomniac says it will introduce online features and ways to make the game last longer than past games.
