Yesterday the gut-wrenching horrors of the Syrian massacres were given new perspective by the BBC getting a graphic wrong in a new release (story here). Today the BBC apologised.
The thing is that some work experience munchkin suffering under budget cuts to the National Broadcaster* put up a graphic of United Nations Space Command (UNSC) instead of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
The Beeb says:
"BBC News makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all images broadcast, however very occasionally mistakes do happen. Unfortunately an incorrect logo was used during a segment on last week's News at One bulletin and we apologise to viewers for the mistake.
"The image was not broadcast in our later bulletins."
And what a good excuse to watch this again....
