Euro GameCube shortage fears emerge
New fears have surfaced that the GameCube may be in short supply in Europe, when it launches in Spring of next year. The news, reported by Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, says that it is common knowledge within Nintendo HQ, that there are likely to be shortages at the European launch.

Following the shipment of 1.1 million consoles to the US market, the allocation figure of 300,000 units is now in general use for the European launch.

Nintendo Europe refused to comment today, stating only that it will be successfully launching the GameCube in Spring.
