As Kaz Hirai Prepares for Presidency Sony Restructures Entertainment Division
With Kaz Hirai's promotion comes changes...
Sir Howard Stringer ceases to be Sony President on April 1st - that's when Kaz Hirai takes over. So, as we lead into this it's all change at Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan.
According to Andriasang, "Starting April 1, SCEJ will have new 'First Party Publishing' and 'Online Service' divisions ( including a head of the new First Party Publishing division, and a new Senior Vice President in charge of PlayStation Vita.)"
"The First Party Publishing division falls under the category of publisher and developer relations. The Online Service division falls under the category of sales & marketing and communication."
It's also pointed out that as of April 1, "SCEJ president Hiroshi Kawano will directly oversee business strategy for SCEJ. Previously, Sony executive vice president Norio Sasaki had the lead in this area."
Seems like Kaz is going for it...
