Square Enix is teasing the existence of a brand new game, due for a possible release in Summer 2012. But what could it possibly be? According to Andriasang, who discovered the following video on the teaser's website, mention of crystals and summons are rampant in the floaty text within.
Comments on the website suggest that it could be part of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles franchise, but obviously take all of those comments with a massive pinch of salt. What does seem more concrete is the secret game's name - a WHOIS on the teaser site reveals a name of "Crystal Conquest."
Masaki Hirooka and Yusuke Naora are credited for the illustrations that you see - which look unlike anything presented in a Final Fantasy title. Could it be a brand new IP entirely? We'll find out soon enough, in the next exciting episode of "studio announcing an announcement."
