Electronic Arts continues to top the UK video game charts, despite not having its latest games stocked at specialist retail chain GAME. FIFA Street, which was released on Friday, stormed to claim the #1 position, while Mass Effect 3, SSX and FIFA 12 hold the following three positions in the Top 10.
Nintendo's Mario Party 9, another title that is not being stocked at GAME or Gamestation stores, hangs on to its position at #5. Of the top 5, SSX and FIFA 12 can be purchased within a GAME Group outlet, but the argument that new release games will sell poorly without a physical retail presence has been thoroughly dampened by chart results in the past few weeks.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, RAGE re-enters at #7, Zumba Fitness gets kicked upwards a few places and Mario & Sonic's latest Olympic jaunt climbs ahead. Assassin's Creed: Revelation's non-movement and Modern Warfare 3's drop to #10 rounds the chart off this week.
