Dead or Alive series creator Tomunobu Itagaki has gone on record to state that an add-on disc will be made available for the American release of Dead or Alive 3, to bring it up to speed with the Japanese version.
The Japanese game features many additional features, including enhanced move lists for some characters and, most importantly, new costumes for the girl fighters.
It is not clear at this point how the European version will appear, though it is widely expected that it will be a conversion of the Japanese release.
Is this the first sign of Xbox games being patched after they are released? Surely not! Both Microsoft and Tecmo are eager to point out that, due to extended development times, the Japanese version will have more features than its American counterpart.
