Looks like the cat's out of the sack for Sony - a Canadian retailer has gone and leaked the existence of a LittleBigPlanet Karting spinoff game for the PlayStation 3.An employee of
Future Shop attended a Destination PlayStation event last night, and saw many glorious things. Top of that list was a karting game featuring Sackboy - and if rumours this morning are to be believed, it won't be Media Molecule developing it. Rather, whispers are spreading that
ModNation Racers developer United Front will be handling coding duties.
According to the rather excited tweets coming from the Future Shop Twitter account, "Little Big Planet Cart racing announced for ps3. Move compatible wheel and 3D capable!" Sounds like a move into Mario Kart Wii territory here. Rumours persist that the game will be PS3 exclusive - so no Vita version.
The retailer also leaked EA's annual sports plans - "
Tiger 13,
FIFA 13,
NHL 13.
NHL13 looks awesome but sworn to secrecy for a few weeks," reads a later tweet. Wonder if the poor chap understands the irony.
What'll piss Square Enix off though is that the Twitter feed also exposed a game called
Sleeping Dogs, which is being targeted for an August 2012 release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We have no idea what it's about, but it shows a nice picture of a man's tattooed torso. So guns, then.
