Sir Howard Stringer Steps Down at Sony CEO

So, despite Sony denying that Kaz Hirai was taking over as president and CEO of Sony, Kaz Hirai has taken over as president of Sony and CEO - as Sir Howard Stringer steps down as CEO of the company.

Bloomberg states that:

"The change is effective April 1, Sony said in an e-mailed statement today. Stringer will become chairman of the board after the June shareholder meeting."

Interestingly, Bloomberg quotes Stringer on Hirai thus: "loyal on one hand and well-educated in the convergence products, and I think he has a charming personality."
