Sonic 4: Episode II Will Have Reworked Physics
Still wondering where that second episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has gone to? Well, wonder no more - SEGA has finally ended its silence by announcing a 2012 release for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS, Windows Phone and Android.

Episode II will feature all-new character animations, a reworked physics engine and the return of both Miles 'Tails' Prower and the blue blur's mechanical nemesis, Metal Sonic. The trailer below all but confirms these details, without giving away any gameplay footage.

SEGA of America executive Haruki Satomi said, "After twenty years in action, it's clear that Sonic hasn't slowed down one bit. The first entry in the Sonic 4 saga was a major success. We've listened to the fans and been hard at work making sure we recapture that same spirit of fun in Episode II. We hope the fans will enjoy it."

Sadly, it seems that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II will not be making an appearance on the Nintendo Wii, despite its predecessor being readily available on WiiWare. No reason was given for the snub.
