Rumour has it that Fumito Ueda (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and of course The Last Guardian) has left Sony. This might account for the
long delays to The Last Guardian. Or it may simply be that the 41 year old wants new challenges.
Either way, if the rumour (via
Eurogamer) turns out to be true, it's a loss of major talent for Sony.
According to the report, "Japanese video game development sources indicated the 41-year-old is working on finishing oft-delayed PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last Guardian in a freelance capacity."
