Amazing news: Dreamcast production to continue!
Sega of Japan has announced that it will be restarting its dusty Dreamcast production plant to meet new and unexpected levels of demand for the console. This follows the complete cancellation of the hardware by Sega last March.

The new demand comes from an increasingly resurgent Japanese Dreamcast market, and follows news that Sega is converting American 60 Hz machines back to Japanese.

Sega manufacturing subsidiary CRI has reported that levels of demand for the machine this holiday season, are almost equal to levels seen last year: an amazing statistic. Finished units are expected on Japanese shelves in February or March next year.

Sega also said that it will be again making the Dreamcast Karaoke Adapter, the online karaoke download middleware.

Japanese gamers seem to have rediscovered the joys of Dreamcast gaming, and have been given a second chance by Sega.
