Capcom will be bringing the very first Darkstalkers game to the PlayStation Network, according to US game ratings board ESRB. It will be playable on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, pointing to a PSOne Classic release on the service.
Titled The Night Warriors, this 2D fighting game established the dark universe of the series and more importantly, made gamers familiar with the heavy-chested Morrigan and Felicia. It first appeared in 1994, with a PSOne release in 1996.
The chances of the game appearing on the European PlayStation Network seems slim at this moment in time, however - Capcom farmed all of its products to Virgin during the 1990s, and the publisher is still reportedly trying to work out a deal that will allow it to re-publish the original Resident Evil PSOne games in the region. We can but hope, eh?
