Everyone loves a bit of PlayStation Home, don't they? That's why it's always so packed out with loads of folks having a grand old time, laughing and... oh. Anyway, there's a brand new update coming as of today that adds a little bit more than just tinkering behind the scenes. The glamorously titled "1.55 Patch" (snappy!) adds new start up screens dependent on how long it was since you last logged in and a new wardrobe and furniture browser that displays the name of an item when selected. The user interface has also been updated with the addition of Help and Redecorate options to the menu pad that will make
Home feel more like, well, home. The usual new games and costumes have also been added as well as a new free-floating camera system to create movies that can be saved and shared.
Whether this will bring gamers flocking to the PSN's equivalent to
Second Life for thrilling evenings of virtually doing the Running Man we cannot say. Nice to see that Sony hasn't just left it to the wolves, though.
