Is A Heavenly Sword Animated Movie On The Way?

I'm ready for my close-up, Mr Antoniades

And... CUT!
Information has appeared on IMDB.com for an animated movie based on Ninja Theory's PS3 launch title Heavenly Sword. The entry says it's due for release next year.

However, it seems that information hasn't quite reached Ninja Theory. When we asked for a comment about the upcoming movie, Chief Creative Ninja and studio co-founder Tameem Antoniades said "I don't know anything about that. We're not involved. I'd be careful about that."

According to IMDB, Todd Farmer is apparently behind the script. He wrote Jason X, by the way, and is working on a reboot of Hellraiser. He's not actually that bad.

There's even mentions of potential cast members. Top British acting gent Alfred Molina is credited to play Bohan while Fringe's Anna Torv will apparently step up to take on the role of Nariko. Thomas Jane, probably best known for his part (arf!) in the HBO series Hung, is down for the role of Loki.

So what on earth's going on? If the creators of the original game haven't heard of it, who knows? Rest assured, we shall keep you up to date on what's happening with this Very Important Story.

Anna Torv voiced Nariko in the original game, "step back up" would seem appropriate.

@DrkStr OMG! That explains why Nariko frowned so much! She spent most of the first season of Fringe with that little crinke between her brows.
