Report: Nintendo Planning September Event, Announcement
Thought Nintendo's 3DS event during Tokyo Game Show season last year was a one-off? Don't be so sure - reports are suggesting that the company may stage another consumer show on 13th September, but they're stopping short of speculating what exactly it will contain.

Bloomberg reports that Nintendo's stock price shot up 9.7% on investor talk of a pre-TGS event. Japanese website Inside Games adds that the company is apparently set to make an announcement around that time. For its part, Nintendo itself has not officially confirmed any such event.

Nintendo traditionally does not participate in the Tokyo Game Show, but used to hold an annual event in September called Nintendo World. In 2010, Nintendo World returned for a special highlight of the 3DS hardware and launch titles. Investors are suggesting that any repeat event this year would be 3DS-focused rather than Wii U-based, which raises a few eyebrows if we're being honest.

We await comment from Nintendo.

Probably an attempt to revive/increase interest in the 3DS by showing off all the AAA 1st party games due to be launched before the end of the year.

Given that the public is a bit 'meh' about the 3DS, it couldn't really harm to do this.

Please please pleaasseee give the Wii U tablet a redesign.. its god awful looking and far too big. I really like the concept of the tablet controller but despite what Nintendo "announces", If they don't redesign that fisherprice tablet then to hell with it until they do..
